Reviews Summary

Visitors rave about the One New Change Roof Terrace for its stunning, free panoramic views of St. Paul's Cathedral and the London skyline. It's frequently described as a hidden gem and a must-visit for its accessibility and breathtaking scenery. Some minor drawbacks include potential crowds during peak times and the fact that food and drink options on the terrace itself are limited, often requiring a visit to the adjacent restaurant.

"This rooftop is FREE, all you need to do is take the elevator at the One New Orange up to the top floor and enjoy this view. If you want to catch a cool shot go into the elevator on the right side.
Photographers: do know that tripods are NOT allowed here. There's a guard on site that will not allow you to use it. I'm not sure why, there was no one around and we weren't bothering anyone but just so you know 🙏
Have fun!"

Elisheva B.A.

"What's not to like, it's FREE. Just take the lift up and your on the roof terrace. I'm sure it can get busy but we were there at lunch time and there was plenty of space to walk around. You don't have to eat at the bar/restaurant. Lifts get a bit crowded with people all trying to get rid the front to video the rude up. Great views of st Paul's and beyond. A must visit."

The Architectural Marvel of One New Change

One New Change is a modern architectural marvel designed by Stirling Prize-winning architects Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners. Its distinctive facade, featuring a series of angled glass panels, is intended to complement the historic St. Paul's Cathedral rather than compete with it. The building houses a mix of high-end retail stores, restaurants, and office spaces, all integrated around a central atrium. Instagram The design cleverly incorporates public access points, leading visitors to unexpected gems like the roof terrace. Reddit

The roof terrace itself is a key feature, offering a public amenity that provides unparalleled views. It's a testament to how modern developments can coexist with and enhance the appreciation of historical landmarks. The contrast between the sleek, contemporary lines of One New Change and the ancient grandeur of St. Paul's creates a visually striking juxtaposition. Instagram+1

This integration of public space within a commercial development is a growing trend in urban planning, aiming to create more vibrant and accessible city centers. The free access to such a spectacular viewpoint makes One New Change a unique destination, blending shopping, dining, and sightseeing seamlessly. TikTokInstagram

Experiencing the Views: Beyond the Obvious

The primary draw of the One New Change Roof Terrace is undoubtedly the iconic view of St. Paul's Cathedral. From this vantage point, you can truly appreciate the scale and intricate details of Sir Christopher Wren's masterpiece. The terrace's positioning allows for unobstructed sightlines, making it a photographer's dream, especially during the golden hours of sunrise and sunset. Instagram+2

Beyond St. Paul's, the terrace offers a sweeping panorama of the London skyline. Look out for other notable landmarks like The Shard, the Tower of London, and the Gherkin. It’s a fantastic spot to orient yourself within the city and appreciate its vastness. TikTokInstagram Many visitors are surprised by the sheer breadth of the view, discovering it as a hidden gem. InstagramReddit

For those seeking a more active experience, the rooftop basketball court (though not free) offers a unique way to enjoy the views while playing. TikTok Even without the basketball court, the terrace provides ample space to wander, relax, and simply soak in the atmosphere of bustling London from above. TikTok
