Reviews Summary

Alexandra Park Penarth is widely praised as a lovely, well-kept park with beautiful trees and scenery. Visitors appreciate its peaceful atmosphere, child-friendliness, and dog-friendliness. Some minor concerns include potential steep gradients for those with mobility issues and the need to be aware of park closing times.

"Lovely park. Beautiful trees and scenery, always seems very well kept.
There is a small children's park within, which if on its own would appear very inadequate. Although with all of the other features of the park, it fits in perfectly. There is an aviary in the middle of the park with some amazing small birds kept in the spring and summer months. They are really nice to go and observe, kids love them ❤️

Multiple footpaths are available to traverse, but I will give a word of caution for those with wheelchairs/push chairs etc... there are a few steep gradients and descents - bearing in mind it's location that's to be expected. I believe you can steer clear of the steeper slopes if needed.

Some nice wood sculptures are dotted around, and there is a well kept war monument also. Parking could be limited, but normally a space can be found near one of the entrances to the park.

Overall this is a lovely place to visit, it is child friendly and dog friendly, and it's peaceful. Penarth pavilion is literally down the bottom of the hill (approx 150 yards from the bottom entrance) so it's easy to incorporate the two in one visit. Parking down the bottom may be a better option provided it's not a busy time of day (or a hot one).

I've visited the park for years now and have always enjoyed my time there.
10 out of 10.
Enjoy 😉"
