What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Pentewan Sands is highly praised for its fantastic private beach, heated indoor pool, and family-friendly atmosphere, making it a top choice for holidays. While many enjoy the relaxed vibe and convenient on-site amenities like Hub Box and the shop, some reviews mention the complex feeling slightly run-down and issues with pitch details or grounds maintenance. Overall, it's a popular spot, especially for families, with many planning return visits.
"Stayed on a touring plot with our friends pitched up next door to us. Very relaxed on the rules and you can pitch up how you like - we had a huge set up between us! The site was very quiet at night even though we were here during August bank holiday and the site was at full capacity.
Private beach and a heated indoor swimming pool which was 30c. These two things made our holiday! The site was well maintained, along with a club house and arcade.
Great cycle route from the site, along with two pubs close by however the club house on site was far cheaper than the pubs off site.
Onsite shop very reasonable priced along with fresh produce.
Definitely will be a returning customer, thank you!"

"Just came back from a great week at Pentewan Sands.
The caravan we had , which slept 8 , was modern and clean with a fully equipped kitchen , cooker , hob , microwave, toaster , fridge freezer and kettle.
Lots of plates , glasses , mugs and cutlery.
We had to make up our beds on arrival but were provided with clean sheets.
You will need to bring your own towels and we also took tea towels , washing up liquid etc.
There is a shop on site which sells a variety of food stuffs , drinks , souvenirs. You can also get fresh pastries , pizzas , icecream ( Cornish Pasties are lovely).
There is a fish and chip shop on site , they do an early bird special between 4 & 5pm , cod and chips for Β£10.
The campsite is predominantly touring caravans and tents , so there are amenities, toilets and showers.
There is an indoor swimming pool , once it's full you may have to wait to get in.
For a full list of amenities etc just go onto the website.
It's located on it's own private sandy beach, again with lots of activities.
All in all a brilliant week spent with the family.
The kids loved it so much they want to go back next year.
Thank you Pentewan Sands."

"We spent a fantastic family getaway at Pentewan Sands earlier this month. When we booked almost a year ago, the staff were very helpful in ensuring that our large family group were placed together on possibly the two largest plots I have ever been on, a great space for our young grandchildren to run around. The facilities on site always clean and were plentiful. The swimming pool was an enormous hit for the children especially when the weather wasn't so good. The burger restaurant near the beach was great as was the fish and chi takeaway. The site is lively, sometimes a little noisy but was great fun."
