"The lady at the front door about an hour or so before the show decided to tell us the show was cancelled, 😕. This was a joke 🤣 cracking sense of humour, even if I was biscuit ersed for a few seconds before she gave the game away. I thought she would end up being the warm up act but alas she'd been sacked by then. Great place, will definitely be back."

There's such a heightened importance placed on the arts here, such a clear conception of them as being essential to the common life of the community. Because of a robust performing arts theatre like this, placed among a bustling and welcoming street that creates a sense of pride and honour, this small city has a more robust artistic culture than the much larger city in which I grew up. Even if you are not there for one of the many electrifying performances, look around the common area and see the stacks of plays on the book shelves. This theatre is itself a destination, and spending a lot of time in it produces a sense of reverence, such as can only be evoked by a place touched by the hands and hearts of a people."
