What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Phear Park is widely praised as an excellent, versatile park with something for everyone, from its popular skatepark to playgrounds and green spaces. Visitors appreciate the well-maintained grounds, cafe, and dog-friendly atmosphere. However, some facilities, like the pitch and putt course, have been noted for their poor condition.
"An excellent park, something for everyone here. It’s a nice green space with lots of trees that’s nice to walk around. Also a pond (that I think is part of Withycombe Brook?).
The facilities here are excellent and they cater so well for different interests and age groups. There’s pitch and put, a bowling green and green gym equipment dotted around. Tennis courts too.
For children, there’s a younger children’s playground and one for older children. The playgrounds are next to each other. The skatepark is popular too and I saw younger children using it with scooters.
Phear Park is a great example of what a park should be (I unfortunately speak as someone who’s park where I’m from is having a sewerage pumping station built on it 😔)."

"Met some friends in Exmouth and decided to go here. Took a picnic and enjoyed being under one of the old oak trees in the shade. Lovely park, well tended with a cafe and public toilets. Well done Exmouth council !"

"Limited parking space but they are free. There is also a lovely cafe tucked away in the park, with additional parking and picnic benches. Family and dog friendly - plenty of space and no need to crowd other people"
