Beautiful pub. £5.15 for a Guinness and being photographed while you're having a piss, are not ideal though.

"Historic public house. Beautifully preserved grade 1 listed, with fantastic original woodwork and tiling throughout. Famous pink marble urinals (didn’t see them personally though 😂) stopped by off the city bus tour and had our free bubbly, but will be back to sample the good range of ales and beers available. Didn’t have time to stop and try the food, maybe next time but a must see historic pub and dinning rooms. 😊"

Louise Houghton

"Stop here as part of a sight seeing tour, good selection of beer, and cozy enjoyable atmospheric.

Interesting building and, home to a grade 1 listed toilet.

I didn't eat only stay for 2 drinks and my partner had a half.
So cannot comment on food!"

Adam Banks

"Beautiful building and lovely interiors. As of August 2025 it will be undergoing some refurbishment. We enjoyed the meal and pleasant staff. And the gents toilets have interesting architecture and design."
