"nice little place plenty of different shops from barbers to butchers clothing and cafes plus more"
David j Osullivan
"Small but thriving. Some of these old traditional market halls are somewhat desolate with few traders, but this one in Pontefract is well supported. Good range of stalls from deli's to cafés, clothing and fancy dress. Shame to see no haberdashers or ironmongers, they're my favourites! Stalls are reasonably priced and their holders are affable and helpful. Indoor market open Monday to Saturday 8.30am to 4.30pm. Closed on a Sunday. Outdoor market on Wed, Fri and Sat 8.30am to 4pm. Grade 2 listed building."
