What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Portsdown Hill Viewpoint is celebrated for its absolutely stunning, panoramic views of Portsmouth and the surrounding coastline, especially captivating at night. While the scenery is a major draw, visitors should be mindful of potential noise from vehicles in the evenings and consider bringing their own food as on-site options are basic.
"Beautiful place to sit and take in the view. You'll see Portsmouth, Southsea, Hayling etc , even the isle of wight. All spread out in front of you. Night or day it's stunning. Personally I give the food a miss and take mine from nearby food places. While Micks monster burgers is not bad, it is basic , cheap and perfect after a night out. The ice cream van was I'm afraid terrible. Warning. It can get very busy and very noisy up there. You may smell a certain plant at certain times. You may also get some boy racers or motor bikes that are very loud. So while it's beautiful maybe not the best place for neuro spicy kids without ear defenders. There are no disabled parking spots. It's also a great way to watch the fireworks."

"As long as there is a parking space, this is a great place to sit, eat, drink and relax. The views are stunning and the room at Micks is amazing"
Dave White
"Truly the very best view in the whole if Hampshire. It's a fantastic place to watch a storm roll in. In the evening, Portsmouth really twinkles and looks almost metropolitan 😉!!! Lovely place for a dog walk and Mick's Monster Burgers NEVER dissappoint! Can be quite windy and there isn't any shelter so wrap up warm if it's cold. My wife and I drive up here at times just to watch the world go by and escape the rat-race."
