"My 94 year old mother visits this pier regularly in the summer along with many others. But you never see them sitting down on the white wooden benches. This is because they can’t. Forget having a rest and a sit down to enjoy an ice cream or a bag of chips, due to the seats always being dirty, grubby or wet. They should be wiped down every morning with notices saying to the idiots amongst us, Do Not Stand or Put Your Feet On The Seats. This will encourage more people to come sit and enjoy the pier and what it has to offer. This is not a moan it’s a genuine fact. And what with the amount of money that has been spent in order to restore this pier back to its near on original state. It doesn’t make any sense? Therefore it begs the question, is this due to neglect, money or just laziness? It’s all ways the small things that let these places and people down."
