And yes it ruined my leggings 🤷🏼‍♀️ This is how i descended from The Table on the Quiraing ridge in Skye - on my arse 😅 The chute was so slippy and the nature of the ground meant it was unstable and soft underfoot - a long way to fall so safety first 😅 #isleofskye #quiraing #quiraingtrail #visitscotland #hikescotland #hikeuk #adventurescotland #Scotland

The Quiraing is in our opinion the best hike on the Isle of Skye. Plan for about a 3 hour moderately difficult hike with some of the best views in the world! #quiraing #isleofskye #scotlandtravel #thetravelingtextbook

- The Quiraing - A family member told me about this hike and showed me pictures of it last year and I knew I had to go. And honestly it's in my top 3 of favourite hikes I've ever done. The views were out of this world and would love to do it again. For us, hand down, the best thing to see on Isle Of Skye. According to my tracking app the loop was 7,5kms with an elevation of almost 400 meters. It...

Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently rave about the Quiraing's otherworldly beauty and dramatic landscapes, calling it a highlight of the Isle of Skye. The hike is considered moderately challenging but immensely rewarding, with stunning views of rocks, hills, and the sea. Some find the parking and initial trail sections less appealing, and muddy conditions require good footwear.

"The hike to the breathtaking viewpoint at the top takes about 40 minutes. The first part of the trail is fairly steep and nothing special. Soon it levels out as you cross into grassland. It’s a bit of a climb but nothing too challenging.

From the eastern edge of the grassland the views begin — and what views they are. Lucky with the beautiful and very sunny weather and the panorama was absolutely stunning. Wherever you look: nature, rocks, mountains, clouds, sea.
What a magnificent farewell to the Highlands 2025 — it truly doesn’t get any better than this. An absolute must-see.

Photos don’t capture the height, depth and vastness you experience up there.

A truly stunning spot on the Isle of Skye."

Victor van der Waal

"Incredible hike in an otherworldly green and lush landscape with dramatic pointy rocks. Lots of sheep coming close and spectacular views of the valley.
Make sure to wear sturdy watertight footwear (the top part of the path is really muddy) and bring bug spray. There is a lot of midgets on parts of the lower path."

Tine Rugh Poulsen

"That was the far better part of the island. If you have enough luck to have sunny day in Skye, that location must be the first thing to see and walk around. Hills, rocks, waterfalls, fields, and of course muttons are great to see."
