"Papplewick pumping station was holding a vintage bike event so thought I would attend to see the bikes and give mine a run. Wasn't aware of what an interesting site this was. A working museum of colossal machinery . A James Watt Steam twin cylinder twin beam engine of impressive dimensions 3 stories tall in the main building a n equally impressive smaller twin engine in another building. Feel the heat of the furnaces and look on in awe at the super tall chimney. Add the mini steam train a lovely cafe and the bike show was good too. Located Papplewick nottinghamshire. Will definitely visit again."
