What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Redisher Wood is cherished for its natural beauty, especially the stunning bluebell displays in May and its peaceful woodland atmosphere. Visitors appreciate the dog-friendly nature and the opportunity to spot wildlife. However, some reviews note a decline in tranquility due to mountain biker activity and reduced wildlife in certain areas.
"It used to be lovely and tranquil, however it's been trashed in places by mountain bikers. Where there used to be lots of wildlife, there now seems to be a lot less, however there are still parts of the woods that have been spared the Sunday walkers and bikes, you just need to know where to look."
Robert Cooper
"Our local circular walk, the woods have plenty of variety from wild flowers (bluebells in May) to birds and deer. So lucky to have this lovely area close by. Dog walkers, bikers(?) and horse riders all enjoy these woods but sadly the bikers do sometimes seem to have their own agenda.
Currently the brook is running very low in the heat of 2023 summer."
