The perfect waterfall walk in Autumn 🍂 Aysgarth falls in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales is home to 3 amazing waterfalls. Start at the National park visitors centre, there's toilets, a cafe, electric car charging points. It's £3.80 for up to 2 hours which is plenty of time to get around the small route. #waterfalls #Yorkshire #autumn #aysgarthfalls #walks

Have you visited the Richard III visitor centre in Leicester? The centre is on the site of the old Greyfriars friary where King Richard was discovered - underneath a council carpark - in 2012. Philippa Langley led efforts to find Richard and I love that her wellies from the dig are on show in the museum! The museum features one level on the story and historical context of Richard’s life and a s...

"Visited with my wife & dogs on the way home from the Lake District to help break up the journey.

I have wanted to visit here for sometime as I have a fascination & appreciation of transport, infrastructure & great industrial projects.

The rail station itself is picturesque with stunning Yorkshire Peaks surrounding you on the platform. Within the station there is a small exhibit detailing the construction, restoration & ongoing care to the viaduct.

The viaduct itself is but a short walk away and certainly worth getting up close to appreciate the scale & human endeavour that saw it's 5 year construction."

Daniel Wheeler

"Good visitor centre. It's inside the station buildings, where there's a cafe and three rooms with tables and chairs to sit to enjoy a tea / coffee and cake whilst looking at the history of the viaduct and it's construction. Good to visit here first to get the background story."

Mark Poley

"We loved this place. Maybe our favorite day of our vacation. The train ride from Leeds was great, we enjoyed talking to the volunteer, Peter, who explained a lot to us about the Viaduct. There are several great educational panels, as well as tea and coffee and souvenirs. The walk to see the viaduct close up was great, including a short stop at the pub."
