"The River Parrett is a lowland river, that runs through the Somerset Levels, it passes very close too several wildlife areas, some of which are SSSIs. The river is controlled with various sluices, (such as Monks Leaze Clyce), and pumping stations (Westonzoyland). North west of bridgwater both banks of the Parrett have footpaths, which enable easy access, to some unique scenery. ANd south west of bridgewater, there is a Sustrans route that follows the route of the Parrett out on to the Somerset Levels. Whether walking or cycling the terrain is flat, so easy on the legs!
