The opportunity to see the impressive Shannon class lifeboat and support the cause through the shop or donations is highly valued. Some find the walk to the station particularly pleasant.
"I had a special reason for visiting RNLI Exmouth. My wife and I have had our names added to the boat's side and wheelhouse respectively.
When I arrived, there were two volunteers fundraising outside the Boathouse. It was a lovely day and the wide expanse of Exmouth's gloriously sandy beach stretched far away in front of the Shannon Class Lifeboat, which was at the ready on its launch trailer, Tractor attached, waiting.
The Station's shop was also doing a fair trade, which I added to of course! I was made most welcome and told to park my Harley wherever I wanted to. Naturally, I chose a spot for a good photo of both Lifeboat and Motorcycle!"
