"It's a lovely place, definitely try the steam train to Fort William, it's a magical journey ;)"

Viktor Slavchev

"We recently took a return train trip from Mallaig to Fort William, August 2025.
Kelsey, a young and very kind employee helped us as we were very short on time and made the trip possible.
We travelled alongside the Scottish sea coastline, then past lochs, through tunnels in the mountains and over the Glenfinnan viaduct. Scenery was stunning and great to have the same pleasure on the way back too.
Around 1 and a half hours each way and only £19 each return!
Highly recommended"

Kate Hay

"The terminus of the West Highland Line retains its Edwardian charm with original signal boxes and platform lamps. The arrival of the Jacobite steam train (11am daily) transforms the station into a scene from a 1940s film. A totally enjoyable destination."
