Relocating to Kent. Confused between Dartford and Greenhithe. Is public transport reliable?
Trains are ok, buses often get caught in large jams caused by the tunnel at Dartford. Greenhithe is nicer than Dartford, or you could try Gravesend, better architecture & more going on. Both are at the rough end of Kent, but you are limited by the train line for access.…

Places to visit in London (within M25 but on the outskirts)?
Me and my son like to visit places around London purely by geography (rather than relying on infrastructure and tourist activities). Is there much to do in these places e.g Dartford, Watford, Slough, Upminster, Epping etc? Any help would be appreciated

Dartford Crossing, why the wait ?
Hello everyone. Drove (northbound) through the Dartford Crossing last week and was wondering what the whole waiting was about. I mean, arriving from the m2, you just arrive at a waiting area where everyone wait for the green light to go in. I thought maybe the whole thing…

What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Dartford Station offers essential train services with good connectivity, and a unique draw for Rolling Stones fans with its commemorative plaque. However, some visitors have noted issues with station layout, narrow platforms, and inconsistent staff helpfulness, particularly concerning accessibility and ticket usage.
"The staff were very helpful and attentive, the toilets were clean and in full working order, there are a lot of trains, there was a manned ticket office, there was a coffee wagon in the car park - the downside is the station layout; the staircase and bridge are narrow, and access to Dartford town centre is compromised by the dual carriageway road outside, which cannot be crossed easily."

"Dartford Station is served by Southeastern and Thameslink trains which go towards London Charing Cross, London Bridge, Gravesend and many other destinations. Coming inside the station the ticket hall area is a average size with not many ticket barriers. Behind the ticket barriers are toilets and lifts to the platforms. The staircases are narrow and dark when reaching the platform part of the platforms are very narrow and bend. The station staff are rude and always on there phones. Dartford Station could do with a upgrade and better staff here you can use oyster here."
