"Walked the loop along the West Island Way from Kilchattan Bay. The coast path gets a bit scrambly in places but our 8 and 10-year old little ramblers enjoyed the challenge. Lots of ticks ended up on the dog from the bracken, all removed in the end! Glencallum Bay was a welcome stop on the way, so peaceful looking out to sea past the old lighthouse, it felt for a few minutes like we were the only people on the island. From Glencallum Bay the path headed upwards and then inland, past St Blane’s Chapel. Before the final return to Kilchattan Bay there was time to jog up Suidhe Chatain with its trig point and great views, and then it was on to the tea room for hot drinks and cake!"

"Fairly rocky path to get to the bay from the Kilchatton East side. Just under a 3k walk to get there. The walk is nice, walking shoes/boots necessary! Camped out on the other side of the bay for the evening, not a soul about except for a few seals and hundreds of midgies 😂"
