What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
The Royal Bath Hotel is praised for its stunning seafront location, historic charm, and friendly staff, offering a peaceful escape with lovely gardens. However, some guests find the decor dated, Wi-Fi unreliable, and dining options and parking to be areas needing improvement.
"Indeed, the hotel could use some improvements, but if it were renovated, it would lose its charm.
The location is very beautiful, the lobby gives off a cozy vibe, and the staff is very friendly.
The hotel’s location is perfect, being very close to the sea.
For me, it is a place where I feel at peace every time I come here."

"We stayed here for one night last week for my daughters graduation at The Pavilion across the road. We didn't eat here as we had a meal booked elsewhere. The hotel was super clean and the staff really were excellent. (Dave on reception was particularly helpful) The gardens were lovely and peaceful with plenty of room to find your own quiet spot and chill out. Our room was plenty big enough and the bed was super comfortable. The decor in the room was a bit dated and had different carpet where a new wardrobe had clearly been fitted. We also weren't able to use our balcony. Other than that, we had a great stay and slept beautifully. It was excellent value for money."

"We had suite 146. The king-size bed was hard as rocks. The twin beds were good. The room was nice other than the bed but that's enough to make me not visit again. Noone wants a back back.
We had food from the bar and it was cheap freezer food with inflated prices, not impressed. The service was poor, the food took a while, came out cold, then we had to wait 5 mins for cutlery. I asked for salt n vinegar and got given a pot of sauces with no vinegar. By this time i just ate what i could and left. I should have complained but just didnt want to waste anymore time. The breakfast was unedible, the hashbrowns were chewy, the blackpudding was solid but the bacon was ok. I ended up spending my £12.95 on 2 bowls of Musli.
The furniture was lovely throughout.
The car parking was difficult. The valet system wasn't efficient and you'd have to queue at reception to ask for your car then wait for them to collect it, this could take upto 20 mins. All this for £25 a day! The cars were often backed up waiting for staff to park them.
The staff in the leisure facility were good and provided the friendliest service we had.
Also, no room service.... no phone in the room. Only way to talk to reception was to go down and wait your turn.
I was almost a fan, a softer bed and better food would be make this place a repeat visit. I would oatk elsewhere."
