Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh for its stunning beauty, immaculate upkeep, and the sheer diversity of plant species. It's described as a peaceful escape and a wonderful place for all ages. However, some note that the Glasshouses can be closed, and the food options at the cafes are somewhat limited.

"Beautiful garden so many species of every kind of plant, tree and bush you can imagine. Beautifully kept garden and a very nice place to spend some peacefully time. Entry is free and the only dissapointment was that the glass house was closed. It's is a long walk if you want to see everything."

"Wonderful place the best garden I have been to. It friendly place. There are some hills but it quite easy to get up it. The terrace cafe at garden is good but has quite few options. It worth the visit. It good place to come with children. And adults and elderly people. I recommend it to anyone. And there is a cafe at one of the entrances they do good coffee and tea and cold drinks and they have toilet in the cafes"

Sam

"Just ok for me. This garden is immaculately kept up and I had great luck on my side with the weather being 71 degrees, sunny and a light breeze. The various trees, grass, ponds, water features, plants and flowers were healthy and beautiful. I’m no expert…don’t take this review seriously, but everything looked like green shrubs/bushes. Beautiful and healthy, but just various green bushes, plants, grass and trees. Very well kept trails, pathways and some flowers, but not as many flowers as I was hoping for.
The one plant that had me mesmerized were these massive, ‘Jurassic Park’ sized leafy plants. The leafs were bigger than my whole body. It looked very exotic and stunning. The water feature near the gift shop was cool. The silver balls looked like they floated atop the water. Cool."
