What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the spectacular panoramic views of Torbay, especially from the higher vantage points of the Rock Walk. The illuminated pathways at night are a significant highlight, creating a magical atmosphere. While the climb involves many steps, most find it well worth the effort for the scenery and the well-maintained gardens.
"This beautiful garden and clifftop walk stretches for about half a mile along the seafront. I joined the pathway just behind the Princess Theatre, and climbed all the way to the top. The level lower path running parallel to the prom was lined with a profusion of palms, grasses, colourful flowering shrubs, and exotic plants. Look out for the grotto, with a fantastic little sculpture inside, about halfway along! The walk to the top was up a moderately steep path with easy steps (but lots of them!), and stout handrails. I didn't find it too challenging, and it was well worth the effort, because increasingly spectacular views of the harbour, Torre Abbey Sands, and the wonderful coastline of Torbay open up as you climb. The wildflowers are beautiful, and pines cling to the rock face. And it was so peaceful up here, way above the bustle of the prom! There are seats all the way up if you need to rest, and a viewing platform at the top. The Rock Walk is a lovely experience not to be missed!"

"Beautiful scenery. It starts from car park next to Premier Inn and ends behind the Arcade. Very short walk across but worth going up to see fantastic view of sea front. You can walk down the steps to main road and to promenade. We did one big loop back to car park."

Truly amazing views from here. A long walk up the many steps but it was worth it. There are a few benches on the way up that you can stop and rest at.
Make sure you take plenty of photos here. Great opportunity.
Lots of colourful plants on the way up."
