@sostrenegrene opened their doors yesterday with queues stretching up the High Street of people eager to see the new store. The shop is at the bottom of the High Street in the old C&H fabrics building. I have never been to a @sostrenegrene before so of course, I popped down to tell you all about it. 🛍️ Selling a HUGE range of items it’s like an Aladdin’s Cave. To name a few, kitchenware, sweets...

Reviews Summary

Visitors rave about the Pantiles' stunning Georgian architecture, independent shops, and delightful al fresco dining options. While the charming atmosphere is a major draw, some note that many eateries close by 5 PM, and the weather can impact the overall experience. Reddit

"Words cannot adequately express the sheer opulence and architectural beauty of the Pantiles. Glorious restaurants with Al Fresco dining. A plethora of individual specialised independent shops juxtaposed with jettied timber houses, a bandstand and a weekly market. Essentially the town was based upon its spa and the Georgian noblemen who took the waters. The majority of architecture is George 11V William 1V. but there are also some substantial Victorian villas There is a large surface car park nearby. The Duke of York pub serves excellent fare. Don’t deny yourselves the opportunity to visit this haven of beauty that personifies the best of England. A short walk away takes you to the opera house that JD Wetherspoon have made into a pub without destroying any of the previous infrastructure and furnishings"

"This is a unique area of Tunbridge Wells and offers a range of excellent shops, cafes, art galleries, interesting shops, and novel places to visit.
There is a Pantiles market offering a selection of homemade high-quality goods from clothing, jewellery to edible products, and a range of individual artistic wares.
It is a lovely way to spend any day just browsing or meeting friends."

Joy C

"This place is very attractive if you like old streets, there are plenty of restaurants to choose from for dinner and even lunch and breakfast. Some places are more expensive than others, but if you have the money to spend than I'd say the food quality is worth your money. Staff that work at the various restaurants are friendly and on a warmer day they have seating outside with a menu beside the public walk way which enables you to browse the menu before actually committing to the restaurant. The cake shack in particular offered blankets for the outside tables which created a cozy experience."
