What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise Royal Victoria Park for its expansive green spaces, stunning views of the Royal Crescent, and the beautifully maintained Botanical Gardens. It's a highly recommended spot for picnics, leisurely walks, and enjoying nature. Some minor criticisms have been noted regarding the condition of toilet facilities.
"Big wide open green space good for picnics, sunbathing etc. Great views of the Royal Cresent, but the best and most beautiful part of this park is the separate botanical gardens which are well manicured and full of trees, shrubs and plants."
Miles Macdonald
"Superb park with plenty of open green space, views of the famous Royal Crescent, and the beautiful Botanical Garden.
A lovely place for a walk, not far from the city centre. Plenty of benches to sit and enjoy the calming influence of nature. The Botanical Gardens boast an impressive collection of trees, with wonderful colours in October.
Facilities include a café, play area and plenty of paid parking. There's also a distinctive historic bandstand. One criticism - toilet facilities were poor when I visited, with several cubicles out of use due to damage, despite a 20p charge."
Andrew Thomas
"A lovely park. There was a band playing in the gazebo when we stopped by. Great views of the river."
