After 7 years of getting agreement with Sony to use this version of Pachelbel's Canon (just on this one occasion)music, I combine my own footage of Starlings murmurating at RSPB Mersehead on the first Valentine's Day after my Mother's passing in 2016. with my own poetry. R.I.P.

Reviews Summary

Visitors rave about RSPB Mersehead's beautiful, often deserted beach and the well-maintained nature reserve. The staff are frequently praised for their helpfulness and knowledge, enhancing the experience. While bird sightings can vary seasonally, the overall atmosphere of tranquility and conservation effort is highly appreciated.

"The walk around the reserve is flat with good paths and well signposted. The only area with no path is the beach part but it's fairly easy going if you stick to the damper sand.

The distance is roughly 2.5 miles assuming you don't visit any of the hides.

There is an indoor cafe where you can watch small birds feeding and ducks plus pheasants. Car park is decent too and the staff very polite and helpful."

"Wow!
What a beautiful place and we had it all to ourselves!
We couldn't believe the vast beach overlooking the Solway Firth at the end of the walk. We didn't see many birds, but probably July is the wrong time. They were probably all hiding from the heat."

Nina Taylor

"Beautiful, well kept area. Amazing conservation project, access to beach to add a coastal walk. Interactive play park for kids and amazing view if you want to finish with a coffee or wee snack. Syaff member was inclusive, knowledgable, definiatley made our experience more entightened. Will definately pop back."
