This is the Olympian gym in Ryhope, Sunderland, I don’t have anything to do with it anymore. But it’s still up and running with Amateur boxers and great coaches. I shot a bunch of videos there while I was in the Uk last month. What you think? #boxing #boxinggym

Inside one of Sunderland’s great industrial monuments. Built in response to the cholera epidemic, Ryhope Pumping Station opened in 1868 and provided clean water to Wearside for 100 years. Today, its engines, a real feat of engineering, are kept in working order by a dedicated band of volunteers. The museum is open on Sunday afternoons from Easter until December as a static exhibit or on steami...

"Fascinating place! Make sure to go when there is a steam day and the pumping engines are working, they are something to behold!
The volunteer staff are all very friendly and knowledgeable.
Very nice cafe on site too."

Lorna Lea

"A fantastic little museum, check the website to see when it's running on steam otherwise it's open as a static display. When running, the engine is smooth and quiet, look out for the £1 coin balanced on the beam. There are 3 levels to explore and you can see it all nice and close. It's run by enthusiastic volunteers who are happy to share information on it. There is a guide book available. It's free but donations are welcome to keep it running. There is a blacksmith shop selling a few items and a cafe at the entrance. Parking available onsite. There are a few steps to get up to the top of the engine and a few at the entrance."
