Why is the entire borough of Oldham judged so harshly on here? Oldham itself is lined in red and as you can see it only makes up 1/4 of the borough. Shaw, Crompton and Royton are nice places to live. Chadderton and Failsworth are decent. Saddleworth is one of the nicest areas in Greater Manchester.
Grew up in Saddleworth but now live in Oldham because itโs cheap with a decent commute to Manchester. To say itโs a shithole is fair but itโs also incredibly deprived. It will only get worse now that itโs easier to go to Manchester to shop. There arenโt any shops in Oldham youโฆ
