"While with this visit we did not have a lot of time in Sedbergh. I have been before and it is a very nice town. Although a little bit weird.
As I wrote last week about walking along parts of the Pennine Way this week....well it was more a case of history repeating itself.
In 1995 when I 1st went to Sedbergh, the England men's rugby union team were playing their Australian counterparts in a world cup quarter final.
Also some of the England players had attended Sedbergh school.
England won that day so in 2022 the England team had just played the 2nd of a 3 match series against the Australian team. Which they won 25,17 to level the series at 1,1. 🏉
That however strange was certainly not the headline story that came courtesy of Mother Nature it was roasting hot🥵 and the walk I did had very little shade or even a breeze to take the edge off the heat.
It made what was a very enjoyable walk into a real struggle but I not complaining as it was a beautiful day."
