Place for a date
Me and my wife(in our late 20s) are spending the weekend in Sandbanks next week. Its her birthday so want to take her to a good dinner. Any suggestions? PS : we don't eat beef so steakhouses are off the list😁
Heading to the beach today, any recommendations for nice beaches near Bournemouth?
Would probably rather not go to Bournemouth itself as it’ll be very busy. Any hidden gems or not very well known beaches we could head to instead? Bonus points if it’s a seaside town.

What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Shell Bay Beach is praised for its beautiful, clean sands, clear, calm waters, and stunning views, making it ideal for families and relaxation. However, visitors should be prepared for parking challenges, limited nearby food options, and occasional issues with dog control.
"Great beach. Just be warned. You need coins for parking. Found it impossible to get a signal to do online payment and machines won't take cards. Also, dogs running loose and many out of control on the beach in August.
The loos are a short walk from the beach. Brilliant place for children, room for playing and kite flying, sandy beach and just a lovely beach. Take food, there's nothing nearby."

"Shell Bay Beach is one of Dorset’s hidden treasures—gently sloping sands, calm shallow waters, and stunning views across to Poole Harbour and Brownsea Island. Ideal for paddleboarding, or leisurely walks at low tide (bring a sturdy pair of shoes for the mud!). The path from the Shell Bay Inn pub is easy and scenic, making it a great spot for a pint or an ice cream afterward. Parking’s limited, but arriving early keeps things stress‑free. Quiet, clean, and seriously relaxing—perfect for a laid‑back coastal day."
