Insider Tips

We had an amazing time at the Secret Garden in Shrewsbury, MA. It pops up out of nowhere in a quiet residential neighborhood and has a trail with so much art all throughout. It’s completely free and has such a whimsical and magical vibe. There’s even a little free library if you want to grab a book! We will absolutely be coming back here many times, my daughter loved it! #budgetfriendly #budgeting...

"Fabulous walk through woodland, along river and accross meadows.
We followed the circular route but will be back again to explore the other trails leading from it.
Thanks Google maps we only found it because of you😀"

Jules Sandham

"A long thin nature reserve extending along the Rea Brook from near the Abbey Foregate car park in central Shrewsbury to Meole Village in the south of Shrewsbury. There are several access points. There is a playground, a small football pitch with post and plenty of benches along the route. Parts have wheelchair access but in other areas such access would be difficult. In winter some areas do get muddy but the surfaces are gradually being improved. Some areas can flood when water levels are very high. It's a beautiful and under-used area with Kingfishers, Dipper, and flower-rich meadows a regular sight. Some schools now have forest school in some areas."
