"It is run solely by volunteers and has no connection with RNLI. They get an average of 500 call outs a year. Many of which are related to mental health issues. Loneliness is the biggest disease of the 21st century. Other call outs are due to people not understanding the forces of nature or lack of common sense (Darwin Awards). The equipment they use are all self funded by donations from the public. They're amazing."
