Reviews Summary
St. Baruc's Chapel Ruins are recognized as an old, historic monument, offering a glimpse into a significant medieval pilgrimage site. While largely a pile of stones today, it's considered worthwhile for those interested in history, especially when visiting Barry Island.
"Old historic monument. Worth a look if you are there. Generally a pile of old stone from a very ruined building."

"Much overlooked these days, but during the Middle Ages, the grave of St Baruc, (a 6th century hermit who became a saint) at this chapel dedicated to him was an important place of pilgrimage. Iโve read that in those days, four visits to Barry Island was the equivalent of one to Rome. Hard to believe now as hardly anyone is even aware of the existence of this place.
There was also a โholy wellโ a few hundred metres away, but that was filled in and built over about 50 years ago"
