Steve and my trip to see the Roman fort and St Cybi's church at Caergybi (literally "Cybi's fortress")/ Holyhead on Ynys Môn/Anglesey last week! The church was all locked up, but we could still see the Roman walls and tower around it, a seagull was enjoying the enclosed lawn, and the staff at Holyhead Llyfrgell (literary: "book-cell")/ library were really friendly when we popped in there after! ...

"Its a very old church constructed in around 540 AD, and renovated over the past hundreds of years. To its actual state. Very well preserved well maintained, we were greeted by a lady at the church who was handing out flyers of the history of the church and giving information to the visitors. It was unlike all other modern churches, it had many graveyards outside as well as inside the church, there is a wishing bowl where you can wish, and place a stone in the tub of water. It was a calming and relaxing place to connect with jesus. The outside of the church has these wonderful views of the water stretch and the cargo ships passing by."
