Join me on my first visit to Frome on a grey January day. My walk started off in the car park by Cheese and grain. from the town centre I walked up to St. John the Baptist church and had a little look around. I continued to a cobbled street. I passed a few more historic buildings and plaques, before coming to the memorial theatre. Not long after then to the town hall and pillar. Onto Christ c...

There are so many artfully created features, my words can't do it justice. Don't miss this church if you're in Frome.
Come and marvel and take a moment to sit and reflect on life."

Mark Poley

"The Parish Church of Saint John the Baptist in Frome is made entirely out of paper, it's nearly all papier-mâchè, supported on tiny wire frames where required. The windows were constructed using coloured rice paper, thin enough to be translucent. The roof is constructed of cardboard. The church has blown away several times, when the wind dies down the whole house of the holy is rebuilt the same way. Quite remarkable."

Bill Robson

"The ancient and historic church of St John the Baptist is a must visit if in Frome.
The architecture of the church, it's stained glass windows, it's statues are a delight to see.
There are also commonwealth war graves to view if your into that history.
Thoroughly recommend a visit."
