"A nice peaceful place to visit. This whole area is a great place steeped in history. The only regret is not being able to see what once stood on these grounds, long ago destroyed. Nothing can ever bring back the monastery only a good imagination and relying on artist impressions."
rob fairley
"This church was the church used by pilgrims visiting Evesham Abbey. The abbot ordered the church to be built and the pilgrims were judged to be the carriers of dreadful diseases which were often fatal.
The church has a long and interesting history. It is no longer used for regular services as the parish church of Al Saints is just next door. This was the church used by the monks and the townspeople.
St Lawrence's is now in the care of the Churches Preservation Society. It is well worth visiting to admire the excellence of the craftsmen who restored it after the dissolution and plunder of the monasteries by Henry VIII and his hooligans. The stained glass is worth a visit just on its own accord."
