Reviews Summary
St. Margaret's Church offers a quiet sanctuary for reflection, appreciated by those seeking peace. However, multiple reviews highlight significant concerns regarding cleanliness and maintenance, with mentions of cobwebs, dirt, mould, and safety issues, particularly in the church hall. [^Review]
"If your looking to have your special day wedding or anything at this church please look elsewhere or even if your looking to hire the hall I would highly advise you don't!
We raised our concerns with the church warden about the problems listed below buy he didn't seem to care and simply shrugged it off which was very upsetting also argued with us.
Problems found were:
Cobwebs as far as the eye could see in Windows and on Pews .
The dirt that came of my friends hand when he wiped his hand over pew was absolutely gross video is attached .
Paint is falling from the ceiling in kitchen .
The walls are full of cobwebs kitchen and hall.
The sides were gross covered in dirt and grime.
Rat and mice traps absolutely everywhere.
There is black mould in multiple places .
The stage in the hall is cluttered and dirty and covered in sharp Protruding rusty nails.
The amount of flies that were around the kitchen was disgusting, we ended up leaving the hall and coming back home. If we were to eat food after it being there I believe we could be ill with the paint dust dirt and flies.
I know its a church and it's very old but there is no one that clearly cares about the church considering the state it is now in"
