"This review is specifically about the hall hire at St Mary’s Church Hall, Wexham — not the church services or congregation. Sorry I couldn’t find the reviews for the hall.
Unfortunately, the hall was in very poor condition when we arrived. The toilets were disgusting, clearly not cleaned before our booking, and they were mixed-use with no clear separation. The kitchen was also dirty and didn’t feel hygienic enough to prepare or serve food safely.
The building itself looked run-down and neglected, which was disappointing given we had hired it for an event. To make matters worse, SUE EDWARDS the lady who is in charge of the hall and her mum turned up during our booking, helped themselves to our food, sat down, and stayed without leaving — which felt intrusive and unprofessional.
Then claimed we never cleaned up the place when they were watching me and my friends clean it spotless while they were so happy to eat our food. Greedy and selfish people . Will definitely spread the word about them.
Based on this experience, I would not recommend hiring the hall. And I’ll make sure everyone will
