Reviews Summary

Visitors praise St. Peter's Church Folkestone for its stunning harbour views, beautiful Victorian architecture, and the serene, welcoming atmosphere. The recent renovations, highlighting exposed brickwork, are particularly admired. While some note its Anglo-Catholic traditions, most find the community friendly and down-to-earth.

"St. Peter's Church is steeped in history and it is beautiful. The brickwork is fantastic and the renovation work is amazing. I received a warm welcome today and the atmosphere was great. The views are stunning and there were so many blossoms to admire and butterflies. Just to say there is wheelchair access. I really enjoyed the organ recital. I took part in their Summer Fayre and had a wonderful time. (Had an unexpected visit from a ladybird) The children certainly enjoyed the painting session, throwing the wet sponge at the Church Warden ( great person) and the Bouncy Castle."

"Beautiful Mariner's church overlooking Folkestone harbour. Don't be put off by the Anglo-Catholic "bells and smells" - the people are not at all stuffy but friendly and down to earth. Worth a visit to savour the calm and serene atmosphere."

Doug Quinney

"Beautiful church, originally built for the local fisherman. Recently undergone extensive renovations.
The exposed brickwork is stunning as is the location."
