"I was surprised when I visited here, nearly all of the stalls where in use and open for business. The cafes were still there, the fruit and veg were open and really well stocked with very fresh and good priced goods. Shoe and slipper stall still open. The diversity of stalls was excellent, there was something for everyone. I would certainly visit Hanley market again."

"Unfortunately, many shops have shut down and the place needs a revamp. There are many people who just roam around under the influence and cause problems for security staff. Beyond that, the shopping centre does have nice people friendly staff. Although I grew up in this area, Hanley has become a place that I'll go if I have to."
