We had a lovely welcome and the offer to take our bags to the room.
There's several lounge rooms to sit and read or just to chill out.
Dinner was delicious with lots of choice on the menu. Service was spot on and the food was amazing.

"Not just another stately home turned hotel. Hartwell House has genuine royal history (English and French). We enjoyed an incredible roast duck dinner with a fine selection of wines and an excellent breakfast. With notice, our gluten issues were seamlessly handled (even the biscuits on the in room coffee tray were gluten free). After a relaxing afternoon in the spa pool and hot tub, we wandered down the driveway to a pub for dinner - but that’s for another review."
