For this year’s #EnglishTourismWeek I visited Stoneacre, a wonderful #NationalTrust property just outside Maidstone. It’s a restored Medieval Hall House surrounded by beautiful gardens. I got to meet some of the brilliant volunteers who work so hard to keep the site in great condition. English Tourism week is a reminder to visit a local attraction – of which we have amazing ones close by like @b...

Reviews Summary

Stoneacre is a delightful 'hidden gem' in the Kent countryside, praised for its tranquil atmosphere and beautiful, well-kept gardens, particularly its irises and peonies. Visitors appreciate the charming 15th-century house and the friendly, knowledgeable staff. However, it's noted that the house and grounds are not extensive, and there's no on-site cafe.

"A little hidden gem in the Kent countryside.
Not the biggest of houses in fact you could get round it in about 20 minutes.
The grounds are very peaceful but yet again not the biggest but well kept.
Unfortunately no cafe on site but there is one back up the road in Otham village hall.
It is still a stunning property with a small team of enthusiastic welcoming staff.
Car park is at the bottom of a short but steep hill.
I was lucky enough to get into one of 3 disabled bays opposite the main entrance, yes I do have a badge.
Certainly worth a visit if you have a spare hour or so.
I enjoyed the tranquility of the place"
