We spent 2 hours there. Parking spaces very limited. Toilets available. Lift inside for prams, wheelchairs, etc. Free to enter but we left money in a donation box. Its not a guided tour but plenty of information in each room for historical content."

"Sudley House was built in 1821 by Liverpool merchant Nicholas Robinson, on land originally owned by the Tarleton family. The architect was probably a local man, John Whiteside Casson. Both Robinson and the Tarletons had links to transatlantic slavery, and both owed at least part of their fortunes to it. The paintings at Sudley are now the only surviving, intact collection of artworks once owned by a merchant family.
