Any good literary and cultural historical sites?
I visited Cardiff over ten years ago when I was a kid and I’m visiting again next week for the second time. However I’d like to see places more renowned in the literary, cultural and artistic scene as that’s also my field of speciality. When I was younger I did a tour of the…

"Excellent half an hour spent exploring the medieval village. Learned lots and enjoyed the walk, too. Free to enter but car park is pay and display. Cafe clean but a bit limited for options. Museum was shut on our visit. Enjoyable, though, and would recommend."

"A handful of closed buildings with information placards. No entrance from road. Parking and entrance at adjacent Cosmeston Lakes Aqua Park. Picnic tables, and nice walking area."

"First visit here. The park itself is lovely, beautiful grounds, wildlife haven. Loads of walks to go on. Coffee stall right by kiddies playground (I was alone) bought an oat milk iced coffee and 2 Welsh cakes, whilst chatting with the owner. The medieval village was the disappointment as all the houses are locked, no tours as advertised and the museum appears to be permanently closed. The cafe, while of average price, could do with a deep clean as was grubby looking, even my knife and fork were dirty.
I would visit again, take a picnic next time."
