What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about Summerhill Country Park as a fantastic free outdoor space with plenty for families and dog walkers. The playgrounds, nature walks, and sculptures are highlights. However, the limited opening hours of the visitor centre and toilets on weekends are a recurring point of dissatisfaction.
"A nice big park, there's plenty of lovely spaces to go for a walk, ideal for picnics, dog walking, and taking children to play, reason only gave 4 stars is because of the only downside that is the only toilets are in the visitor centre which is only open weekdays, it should be open on weekends to,"
Angie Middlemiss
"Great walking area, free parking.
Plenty to do for the kids.
Rides, slides, nature watches, sculptures and more.
Kids really enjoyed here.
There is also a cafe here which was shut on our visit so I can't comment on it."

"Great outdoor space with something for almost everyone. Children's areas, great walks, dog friendly, horse friendly, children's track and dirt track. Nice cafe on site too, not had the chance to make use of all they great stuff on offer but look forward to.
The larger climbing frame has been removed (due to age) with the assumption that it's being replaced."
