This beach is always empty this time of year, and I’m not mad about it. But rumour has it the lighthouse is haunted and there are more sightings in spooky season 👻 📍Talacre Beach #talacrebeach #pointofayr #lighthouse #northwales #you_wales #discovercymru #walescoast #northwalestagram #visitwales

Reviews Summary

Talacre Beach is widely praised for its stunning, clean sandy shores and the iconic lighthouse, offering a peaceful escape. Visitors appreciate its dog-friendly nature and affordable parking. Some note the presence of quicksand and the offshore wind farm as minor drawbacks.

"Talacre Beach is a breathtaking slice of the North Wales coastline, offering a perfect blend of natural beauty and peaceful charm. As you arrive, the wide expanse of golden sand stretches invitingly, making it ideal for long, leisurely walks or simply sitting back and enjoying the sound of the waves crashing gently against the shore. The beach is wonderfully clean and well-maintained, with plenty of space to relax without feeling crowded, even on busier days.

One of Talacre Beach’s most iconic features is the striking lighthouse that stands proudly near the sand dunes. Its tall, white structure contrasts beautifully against the deep blue of the sky and the shimmering sea, creating an impressive and picturesque sight that’s a favorite among photographers and visitors alike. The surrounding dunes add a sense of natural seclusion, enhancing the tranquil atmosphere and making it feel like a retreat from the everyday hustle.

The area is perfect for families, couples, and solo explorers, with opportunities for beach games, kite flying, or simply strolling along the water’s edge. Wildlife enthusiasts will also enjoy spotting seabirds and, on occasion, seals in the distance, adding a touch of wonder to the visit.

Talacre Beach combines the timeless appeal of sandy shores with the charm of its historic lighthouse, offering an experience that is both relaxing and visually stunning. It’s the kind of place where you can truly unwind, breathe in the fresh sea air, and soak in the beauty of the Welsh coast."

"My new favourite beach! Be wary of the quick sand and mud I missed the sign at the entrance of the beach and only found out when I stood in some which lead to some funny moments however for less mobile people it would not have been amusing. Found lots of crabs. So clean and lovely sandy bits of the beach. Definitely be visiting again in the future!"

"Cheap carparking £1 -2hrs, £2-4hrs... We Followed the wooden walkway from the carpark, passed a cafe, through the dunes onto the massive expanse of sandy beach With it's iconic and prominent lighthouse... Can see why this area is popular with families sand, rock pools and masses of different kinds of shells... We Walked back through the sand dunes and noticed good signs of wildlife... Dogs can run free along the sand and coast, when the tide is low, there's more than enough room for everyone... Be careful whilst on the rocks and steps of the lighthouse as they become slippery when damp/ wet.... This is a good starting place for the coastal walks which pass here..."
