American Visiting Glasgow (and Points Beyond?)
I'm an American (I live in the Seattle area) in the early stages of planning a trip to see a friend who lives in Glasgow, tentatively consisting of a week or more in December, possibly later but probably not any earlier (I'm perfectly happy with cold weather and rain!). I'm…

Tall ship with a toddler
Would you recommend taking a two year old to the Tall ship? He likes pirates a lot just now and I was going to tell him it’s a pirate ship. If there’s a lot of ‘no touch’ blocked off stuff like the transport museum it wouldn’t be worth the arguments!
The Tall Ship at Riverside Museum
We went last Saturday, it was gorgeous out and not busy at all. That’s a great shot!

"This ship is definitely worth a visit if you’re exploring the Riverside Museum. Doesn’t take too long to explore but you can get up close in all the main areas from the hold and engine room to the captain and crew quarters. Really nice staff in all areas and even has a cafe and and toilets on board. Well worth a visit and really cheap to get on."

"Great ship but the lower decks are very boring. It is interesting to see but if you don't want to be disapointed, just stay the deck 😉
I would say that if it wouldn't cost any money... but it does.. so enjoy you time and have fun."

"I always like setting foot on deck of old ships like this one, however, I gotta say that I enjoyed its sister ship the Cutty Sark in London just a little more. We also visited when it was free to explore, now there’s a small cost. It’s funny to look into the history of this ship and see how many times it has been sold off. The ship is bigger than you’d initially think, but it still doesn’t take too long to explore - an hour tops. It’s a fun stop when in the area."
