St. Giles Church, Tattenhoe The first St. Giles's Church was built on this site around 1200 AD. The yew trees in the churchyard have been dated from this time and were probably planted at the time the first church was established. This makes them some 800 years old. The building you see today dates from circa 1538. It is the second church building on the site and was constructed using the stones ...

Nature spot 18/100: Howe Park Wood - St Giles Church On the edge of Howe Park Wood (on the South-East side), there's what must be Milton Keynes' cutest church: St Giles, which can only welcome 55 people. The church is surrounded by grassland and a small orchard, which is in bloom at the moment, so very pretty. St Giles' Church was build around 1538 and the stone used to build the church came...

"A cozy and an unique place in Milton Keynes. A mid-1500s building served nearby Tattenhoe Village and now serving the local community. Whether you’re religious or not, it is a interesting place to visit and pray. The place retransmita a good e energy. Very recommended!"

"Cool little church in Tattenhoe. Interesting how the bricks used in it were once a part of Snelshall Priory, which is just outside Kingsmead."

TheEndZombo

"A unique place in every respect. The second church to be built on the site (the first dating back to the 1100s), this mid-1500s building served nearby Tattenhoe Village before its mysterious abandonment sometime in the 1600s. The small church then stood alone in the fields for hundreds of years until the building of the surrounding Tattenhoe and Westcroft housing developments in the late 1990s. Now surrounded by houses, and once again fully serving the local community, it remains an interesting place to visit - whether you’re religious or not."
