What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Greenlands Farm Village offers a charming experience with its very friendly farm animals and engaging play areas, making it a hit with families. However, some visitors found the overall offering limited for the price and expressed disappointment with the cafe's food quality. Despite these drawbacks, the positive animal interactions and dedicated play facilities often lead to recommendations for a return visit.
"Brilliant day out and plenty of pumpkins! Animals craving attention (and pellets). Unfortunately only 2 stars as we were quite lost and there wasn’t very much to do. Felt like walking in a farmers small garden area thats just been set up, not to sure where the pumpkin carving was after we picked up the pumpkins and on the way out quite a rude staff member said “Can I have your pumpkin vouchers”. Though the animals could make it 5 stars easily, especially with the little goats following you around. It really went down hill after the 1 member of staff on the way out. However it was the only member of staff we actually seen there as there was no members of staff to be seen to answer any questions, so we just walked round, fed the animals, collected the pumpkins and off we went. Not worth the money really for a quick 15-20 minutes after a 2 hour drive and from reading the reviews we were kind of disappointed. Other than the 1 member of staff in the shop when we got out tickets who was very friendly.
We decided to go for lunch in the cafe/restaurant on the premises however it was quite a disappointment. There was only 1 member of staff working and the chef was taking food to the tables. Eventually more members of staff turned up, but felt bad for the 1 person doing all of the jobs on the own.
If I could give the food 0 stars I would, it was terrible. We both ordered the burger and my partner couldn’t finish hers, it could literally break teeth! You could tell it was pre cooked and then either frozen or put in the fridge before attempting to cook again, mainly due to is still being cold on the inside before over cooking maybe for a 3rd time… the coleslaw that came with it has no taste, if it was an actual cook that prepared it he/she should be ashamed there was no seasoning or anything and we had to mix a sachet of mayonnaise into to give it taste. The food was nowhere near worth the money."

"Nice place to go with the young kids. There are animals to feed and it does feel like a working farm.
Small shop too and the cafe was nice for a treat at the end of the visit.
Can walk around and see all of the farm animals, all seemed friendly and liked a little bit of a petting.
Would recommend and go back"

"Visited yesterday (Thursday) as a family of 8 (4 generations) and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were really friendly and every time we asked if we could hold an animal nothing was too much trouble. The young girl who worked there (didn’t catch her name) who has been with you for about a year from doing her work experience, was exceptionally lovely and answered all our questions. Credit to your farm park !!
The kids really enjoyed the outdoor play area with the inflatables and they loved the zip line inside the barn.
We were on holiday from North Wales and would definitely return here if we visited again."

Interacting with the Animals
While the animals are a clear highlight, some reviews mention that the overall 'farm village' aspect might feel smaller than expected, akin to a 'farmers small garden area'. However, the genuine connection with the animals often compensates for this, turning a potentially short visit into a delightful experience. Ensure you check if specific feeding times or events are scheduled during your visit to maximize your animal encounters.
Family Fun and Activities
Beyond the play structures, the farm also offers other engaging elements like nerf guns and giant darts, adding a touch of adventure. While some activities like laser tag might be unavailable or incur extra costs, the core offerings are generally well-received by younger visitors. The farm's layout, with its produce shop and craft outlets, also provides a pleasant environment for a family stroll.
Dining and Refreshments
Given these concerns, packing a picnic is a frequently recommended alternative. The village offers a designated picnic area, allowing families to enjoy their own food in a relaxed setting. This approach not only helps manage expectations regarding food quality but also offers a more budget-friendly option for visitors. If you do choose to dine at the cafe, be aware of potential service delays, as some visits noted limited staff.
