"When I went to view Thames and Kennet Marina, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The place seemed to have a nice atmosphere about it, quiet piecefull tranquil setting. I spoke to a chap that worked on the maintenance side while having a coffee, he used to live at the marina and said that it has a great community really friendly. The showers have just been refurbished, very nice. They also have their own bar and restaurant. And it's off the beaten track so no intruders. Their security is very good to. Apart from all this the marina is well placed on the river. Enjoy."

"We phoned ahead to moor our 60' NB at Thames and Kennet marina for 3 days. On our arrival the lady in the office was very friendly and helpful. When we moved from the service dock to our visitor mooring our new neighbours kindly offered to assist when we were reversing, a nice start to our stay. There was a decent walk along the approach driveway for our dogs, and there were strategically placed dog bins. The shower/toilet block was very clean and tidy. The machines in the laundrette were of a good size and worked well. Not expensive like some other places we moor. During our stay we met many different residents and visitors. Everybody was friendly and helpful. Our new neighbours even offered to take us to the supermarket and railway station, they were a fantastic couple. Certainly will be happy to stay again."

"This is worth a visit for a quiet and relaxing afternoon.
There's a bar/cafe with plenty of inside and outside seating overlooking the marina, which you can walk round parts of. We only had a drink that time, but we would definitely return for food another time. We were told that quality sausages are bought from a local butchers, for the breakfasts and a couple of the main meals are homemade.
There were multiple toilets (which I don't normally comment about) and they were modern and clean."
