"This Church in Thaxted is very impressive. It can be seen from several miles away as you drive from Dunmow to Thaxted. The building started in 1340 and was completed in 1510.
There are 2 organs, the larger built in 1820 and the smaller organ in 1858, both are in great condition considering their age.

The stained glass is beautiful and reminds me of Winchester cathedral. The oldest is a picture of a knight dating back to 1341. It could well be one of the most important churches in Essex with its history and it certainly is worth a visit."
