"Popped in for a drink one Saturday lunch time, good range of beers and real ales. Friendly bar staff and obviously serve great lunches as busy. The building is the real star and has been in use for over 450 years, originally a private residence but quickly turned into an inn I believe known as ‘The plume of feathers’ and really came into its own as a coaching inn. Lovey nooks and crannies with rustic areas ideal for a drink or a coffee. Would recommend for a coffee or a meal and we intend to return again with friends soon to do exactly that."

"So disappointing. Expensive, so we only go there when we can have the birthday discount. Struggled to find a starter we fancied, chose a seafood lasagne (bland) and chestnut mushrooms (barely edible, with burnt cashews swimming in a pool of undiluted dark soy). The wine (a watery white Spanish costing £25 would have disgraced the bottom shelf of a cheap supermarket at £5). It was Sunday, so we soldiered on through the roasts. Meat was good, veg OK, yorkies poor. But the plates were completely COLD. Determined to find something memorable, we ordered the cheese plate (unripe brie and two unidentifiable hard cheeses - and NO BUTTER). The blueberry creme brulee was cold, flavourless and lacked a caramel crust. Young and confused staff dressed in jeans and a casually disinterested head waiter. Fine in a pub, not at this price.
The meal WOULD have cost £140, but with birthday discount came to £90. Was it reasonable value at £90? No and never again."

"Great Tudor historic building in the heart of Ledbury.
Limited on-site car parking through a very narrow opening... Made for Coach and horses not Range Rover friendly.
Reception staff a little bit hit and miss. Not always managed. A little confusing as to where to go. We had our dog with us so could only eat in the bar area though it was allowed in the bedroom and was well looked after by the waiting staff.
Bedrooms good sized with up to date ensuite bathrooms and great to have a proper wardrobe and two sitting chairs.
Food really well cooked and presented.
Great table service from Jo at breakfast and Callum at evening meal.
Well worth a walk to the church and the separate bell tower."
